Business Management Training Workshop

Following the shop compliance inspection conducted in February, the Piggs Peak Town Council convened a Business Management Training Workshop for local business owners aimed at strengthening compliance awareness and improving business operations within Piggs Peak.

The workshop brought together key stakeholders and development partners, including SEDCO, Eswatini Revenue Service, Eswatini National Provident Fund, IDCE, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade, and the Ministry of Health, as well as Piggs Peak Inkundla.

These stakeholders provided valuable presentations on business compliance requirements, taxation, social security registration, access to funding opportunities, health and safety standards, and enterprise development support programmes available to local entrepreneurs. In particular, emphasis was placed on funding opportunities and support mechanisms designed to help small and medium enterprises grow sustainably.

Business owners were also guided on proper financial management practices, regulatory compliance, and the importance of maintaining safe and hygienic business environments in line with municipal and national standards.

The workshop highlighted the importance of collaboration between government institutions and the private sector in fostering a conducive business environment. The Piggs Peak Town Council reaffirmed its commitment to continue facilitating capacity-building initiatives that empower local entrepreneurs and promote economic development in Piggs Peak.
