Office of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
The Office of the CEO provides strategic leadership and heads all Council operations, ensuring alignment with the Municipality’s vision and Integrated Development Plan (IDP). The department is responsible for governance and institutional development, including strengthening stakeholder relations, promoting transparency and accountability, and enhancing community participation in decision-making. It also oversees Local Economic Development, with a strong focus on tourism promotion, repositioning the town, and driving innovation and economic growth initiatives.
Strategic Leadership
Drives the organisation's strategy, ensuring all eight strategic objectives are achieved across every department.
Oversight & Coordination
Plays an oversight role in the coordination and day-to-day operation of all departments within the Council.
Participatory Governance
Ensures the Council actively engages residents and stakeholders through regular community and stakeholder meetings.
