I am both humbled and honored to serve the people of Piggs Peak as we continue our shared journey toward sustainable growth and inclusive prosperity. Over the years, our town has shown resilience and potential, and as we embark on the 2026–2031 Integrated Development Plan, we do so with renewed determination to transform Piggs Peak into a dynamic, innovative, and thriving town.

At the heart of this plan is our commitment to economic transformation. We aim to increase economic activity within Piggs Peak, reposition our town as a hub of opportunity, and embrace innovation and technological advancement. By creating an enabling environment for businesses and supporting entrepreneurship, we seek to unlock new opportunities that will drive job creation and long-term economic growth.

We also recognize that sustainable development requires strong and reliable infrastructure management. Over the next five years, we will focus on improving mobility within the town, ensuring that our transport systems are efficient and accessible. We are equally committed to properly servicing our townships and expanding recreational facilities that enhance community wellbeing and promote a balanced lifestyle.

Our people remain our greatest asset. Through our focus on youth and social empowerment, we will strengthen initiatives that enhance youth employability and entrepreneurship, while ensuring the inclusion and support of marginalized groups. We are also committed to reducing gender-based violence and improving child protection, fostering a safe and supportive environment for all members of our community.

To sustain our ambitions, we will prioritize financial viability by ensuring sustainable revenue growth and sound financial management. This will enable us to continue delivering quality services and investing in the development of our town.

In shaping the future of Piggs Peak, spatial management will play a critical role. We aim to improve the livelihoods of our residents by facilitating the development of sustainable and affordable housing, while also enhancing environmental management and public health. Our vision is to create a town that is not only economically vibrant but also environmentally responsible and livable for all.

Finally, we are committed to strengthening governance and institutional development. By fostering strong stakeholder relations and encouraging active community participation, we will ensure that development is inclusive and responsive to the needs of our residents. Improving service delivery and customer satisfaction remains a key priority as we strive to build a responsive and accountable local authority.

My fellow residents and stakeholders, the success of this plan depends on all of us. I invite you to join hands with us as we work together to build a stronger, more prosperous Piggs Peak. Through unity, innovation, and shared commitment, we can create a future that benefits current and future generations alike.
