In an effort to promote the youth’s economic empowerment and entrepreneurial skills development, Pigg’s Peak Town Council (PPTC) has partnered with the Youth Enterprise Revolving Fund (YERF). In order to achieve this noble objective, both parties will collaborate through providing the following; business skills and knowledge, access to funding, and growth opportunities for the youth to expand their SMEs through the Youth Fund and programmes and activities. The term of the collaboration commenced from the 1st February 2024 and activities of the partnership will benefit the youth aged 18 to 35 years, who are residents of Pigg’s Peak town and Inkhundla.

The collaboration further seeks to maximize the utilization of resources through cost sharing models for greater impact in the spheres mentioned above, funds permitting. While acknowledging the partnership established by the two organisations, the CEO of Pigg’s Peak Town Council, Mzwandile Ndzinisa stressed on how the decentralization of youth services were going to benefit the larger portion of unemployed youth in Pigg’s Peak.
