It was not only a familiarization tour by the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Appolo Maphalala to Pigg’s Peak as he also had to officially open the three newly constructed roads by the Town Council worth E18.9 million.
While making his remarks before cutting the ribbon to officially open the roads, the Minister commended PPTC for prioritising infrastructure development, stating that road networking was a cornerstone for the town’s development. He, further, acknowledged Standard Bank Eswatini for offering the municipality a loan to construct the roads, stating that it required boldness from them and hard work from the Town Council to be able to repay the loan.
