A TEXTILE FACTORY TO EMPLOY 500 PEOPLE IS UNDERWAY-MINISTER, PIGG’S PEAK MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT

A project of building a new textile factory in Pigg’s Peak is set to commence in this current financial year. This was revealed by the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade, Manqoba Khumalo on Wednesday during the official opening of Spar and Tops. According to Khumalo, once the factory is complete, an estimated total of 500 people will be employed. “As part of the growth of this vibrant town, a new textile factory has been commissioned to be built in Pigg’s Peak. Construction is set to commence in the current financial year and once the project is complete the factory will employ 500 people”, announced the Minister.

Similar words were echoed by Pigg’s Peak Member of Parliament, Jabulani ‘Buy Cash’ Mabuza elaborating on how the factory would uplift the living standards for the people of Pigg’s Peak through employment opportunities.
