Pigg’s Peak Town Council once again encourages all ratepayers to pay their rates in full before the 30th June 2024 and failure to do so will result in a penalty of 15 percent interest charge as outlined by the Rating Act 1995. Ratepayers who will comply will automatically gain access and participation in this year’s Pay Your Rates and Win campaign.
To ensure that ratepayers are made aware of their outstanding rates balances on time, the Town Council sent payable amounts to individual ratepayers using the bulk SMS. It is important to note that provision of municipal services is dependent on the payment of rates, hence ratepayers are encouraged to pay as early as possible. Ratepayers who fail to instantly pay their rates in full are allowed to make monthly instalments arrangements with Council as provided in the Rating Act, 1995.
