PAY YOUR RATES IN FULL AND WIN ON OR BEFORE 30TH JULY

As mandated by the Rating Act, 1995 to collect property tax from all ratable properties, Pigg’s Peak Town Council has started running a ‘Pay Your Rates and Win’ campaign, aimed at improving property rates collection both from publicly and privately owned properties in the town of Pigg’s Peak. The campaign will run from the 29th May 2023 till the 30th July and the competition will be a draw entered by qualifying candidates.

The main objectives of the campaign are:

• To enforce compliance in payment of property rates by recognizing those who comply.
• To encourage those who does not pay their rates on time to do so.
• To ensure Council exceeds the collection target of 80% during the 2023/24 financial year.

Ratepayers can stand a chance to win one of Council’s massive prizes in this year’s pay your rates and win competition. Ratepayers should pay their rates in full on or before July 30, 2023 to qualify for the competition, to avoid interest charges and legal proceedings.
