On 31st May 2017, the Honorable Minister of Housing and Urban Development (M.P Phiwayinkhosi Mabuza), commissioned two roads financed by Government under the Swaziland Local Government Project (SLGP). These projects were implemented during 2014/15 and 2015/16 financial year, at a cost of E11,081,465.62. The Minister also spent time touring the under construction Hlubi and Nkomazi roads, also financed under the SLGP, which we hope will be complete towards the end of September 2017.
The implementation of such projects is a positive step in the right direction towards the attainment of His Majesty’s Government vision of attaining first world status by 2022, since infrastructure development creates a foundation for economic development. Moreover, through the implementation of such projects, we believe the town’s residents will be able to drive safely during the rainy season, as infrastructure development is an important aspect of improving service delivery.
