In a drive to strengthen service delivery and ensure customer satisfaction, Pigg’s Peak Town Council has engaged IC Development consultants for the implementation of a Quality Management System or ISO 9001:2015 to be completed in October this year.
ISO 9001:2015 is an international standard dedicated to Quality Management Systems (QMS) based on the plan-do-check-act methodology and provides a process-oriented approach to documenting and reviewing the structure, responsibilities, and procedures required to achieve effective quality management in an organisation.
QMS helps organizations ensure they meet customer and other stakeholder needs within statutory and regulatory requirements related to a product or service. It does not dictate what an organisation’s objectives should be or how to achieve them but rather it defines the guiding principles that can be used to create efficiency by aligning and streamlining processes throughout the organisation in an effort to bring down costs, create new opportunities, meet regulatory requirements, and help organisations expand into new markets.
Specific sections of the standard contain information on many topics, such as:
Pigg’s Peak Town Council will be able to consistently and efficiently deliver satisfactory services to her stakeholders such as ratepayers, residents, and employees. Council will also be able to address risks and opportunities associated with her objectives, as well as the ability to demonstrate conformity to the specified QMS requirements.
