ENJOY YOUR FESTIVE SEASON: BE EXTRA CAUTIOUS WHEN SHOPPING

Pigg’s Peak Town Council (PPTC) wishes all her stakeholders and residents a happy and safe festive season..

Council extends warning to all consumers to pay attention to the quality of food they buy when shopping during this festive season. Consumers should, at all times, check for the expiry date especially when buying items in bulk to avoid purchasing spoiled products. Grocery shops are also urged to get rid of expired food items, since such items endanger the health of consumers.

Consumers should also consider the use of electronic payments where possible to avoid carrying a lot of cash which then attracts criminal attention. It is worth stating that Council will have a temporary closure, from the 16th December and resume full operations on Tuesday the 3rd January next year.

However, during the temporary closure, Council will offer essential services such as refuse and revenue collection, thus ratepayers are encouraged to fully settle their rates. In case of emergency, the town’s residents are urged to contact the following numbers;
